The ceremony awarding “Adamah” prizes for excellence in Chemical Engineering

The Department of Chemical Engineering, among the leaders in Israel, set itself a goal to produce graduates who do original thinking, are independent and able to lead, while strengthening ties between Academia and Industry. The Israeli chemical industry is a backbone in Israel’s economic stability and the training provided in this department has a direct impact on the quality of the human capital and products in the present and in the future. One significant expression of this are the many years of SCE’s cooperation with the “Adamah” NPO that chooses those who are outstanding. The criteria for their choice of the outstanding candidates are determined by the joint decision the department’s Committee for Excellence, members of which are Prof. Adi Wolfson, Prof. Oshrat Ontman, Prof. Ariela Burg and members of “Adamah Makhteshim.” Awards for excellence will be granted to students for their outstanding academic accomplishments in 5786 (2025/6) and their contributions to society.
“Engineering Tomorrow: An Inspirational Meeting for Select Women Students,” Gender Equity

As part of SCE’s activities for the promotion of gender equity and to strengthen women’s presence in key positions in Industry, during the uniquely inspirational “Engineering Week,” we are proud to host Shira Sal Wobsht, Neot Hovav Site Manager of the ICL Group and an SCE graduate, at a meeting dedicated to a selected group of women students. Shira has paved an impressive path in Israeli industry since her first job as a Process Engineer and up to her senior position at the industrial site. She will share her insights on life in Israeli industry, how she coped with professional challenges and navigated at various managerial levels. This meeting seeks open discourse on a career in engineering and will reveal opportunities for further academic development and professionalism within the contexts of advanced degrees. We believe that Shira’s story is an exemplary model, an additional step towards fostering the future generation of engineers, who will lead Israeli Industry.
