Welcome to the SCE Tech Fest 26 Final Projects
After the main events of the festival, the students’ final projects will be revealed. These mandatory projects are required for the completion of a B.Sc. degree in Engineering and reflect the ability, tools and knowledge that were accumulated over the duration of the students’ academic paths.
The opening event will be held on Tuesday, 16.6.26, beginning at 10:00. The college's founder, Prof. Jehuda Haddad, will give a welcome speech, and an opening lecture will be given by Tal Avitan, Head of the National Monitoring Center, National Cyber Directorate: "AI-Driven Cyber: The New Balance of Power Between Attacker and Defender."
From 11:00-18:00, the final projects will be revealed, displayed as posters and prototypes along the first-floor hallways in all the campus buildings. This event marks the final stage of the academic year, during which the students encountered engineering challenges and research questions, and solved real-world problems.
Alongside these B.Sc. final projects, the final research papers of the M.Sc. students from various departments will also be displayed and include those of Green Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering and Electrical Engineering and Electronics.
The final engineering projects, some of which were developed in conjunction with local industries, contain basic research and applications in a variety of fields, ranging from the planning and development of new apps, the improvement of existing systems, and innovative research to the solution of complex and combined hardware and software engineering problems.
While their posters are on display, these students will be tested by a professional Judges’ Panel, including academic researchers from Israel and abroad and experts from leading Israeli industries.
In the Department of Software Engineering a final projects’ session will be held to award the outstanding candidates of 5786 (2025/6). The winning projects were meticulously chosen in accordance with recommendations by the mentors on the SCE Thesis Advisory Committee that convened throughout the academic year. These excellent projects present outstanding developments are characterized by a depth of engineering knowledge and practical innovative, showing potential for further research development and publication. This session will be held on Tuesday, 16.6.26 from 15:00-18:30 in the Minkoff auditorium.
In the Department of Computer Sciences a final projects’ summary session will be held for the third-year students from both campuses (Be’er-Sheva and Ashdod), displaying the pinnacle of their academic training. These projects range from academic research to applied development and focus on the department’s specialization tracks—artificial intelligence (AI), and cyber and data sciences. As part of the evaluation process, the students will present their work before a team of internal and external judges, who will assess the quality of their execution and products. The students’ defense of their projects will be heard on Sunday, 14.6.26 from 9:00-16:00 in the first-floor classrooms of the Shimon and Safra buildings.
In the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management the B.Sc. and M.Sc. students will defend their final projects; this is one of the key events of the year. At this event, their final projects will be presented before a Judges’ Panel, consisting of professional academicians and industrialists. Parallel sessions will be held in accordance with the various study tracks, with third-year students (juniors) in attendance, as partial preparation for their final projects the following year. This event will be held on Sunday, 14.6.26 from 9:00-16:00 in the first-floor classrooms of the Legacy building.
In the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics an event will be held to judge and score the students’ final projects for the course: “Machine learning.” Throughout the semester, the students researched the analysis of acoustic recordings; at this meeting, they will present their competing products and get their scores. This competition will be held on Sunday 14.6.26 from 10:00-13:00 in classroom 101 of the Einstein building.
