Workshops and Seminars

Each academic year, the Center for the Promotion of Teaching (CPT) builds an annual program of seminars and workshops for the enrichment and advancement of the faculty members at SCE. These seminars and workshops are given by instructors from a wide variety of fields.

In addition, the CPT, responsible for the professional teacher training of its lecturers, holds two-day seminars for new lecturers about to become ‘full-time’ staff members. These obligatory seminars are held before the opening of the academic year.

As of 2019, an annual “Open Classroom Week on Hanukkah” was initiated, during which those lecturers who scored high marks in the teaching surveys open their lectures to observation by the other SCE lecturers and teaching-assistants.
