Electric Drives and Power Systems Research Center
Electric Drives and Power Systems Research Center
The Electric Drives and Power Systems Research Center was established in 2020 and is headed by Dr. Dmitry Baimel. The center has advanced equipment, such as engines, converters, Typhoon HIL kit, and advanced measurement systems.
The activity at the research center focuses on the field of power electronics and power systems. Specifically, on developing new drive systems, multi-level high-power and high-voltage converters, and solid-state fault current limiters. In addition, research is being conducted on dynamics in power systems and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in power systems.
The research is conducted by staff members, post-doctorate, and M.Sc students.
