Usability Center

The Usability Center at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at Ashdod is unique in the landscape of academic institutions in Israel, serving as a dedicated environment for the development and testing of interactive human-computer systems.

The Center implements the powerful idea of user-centered design (UCD), well-known in the field of interactive technology design, and guarantees that end users and their needs are at the center of the technology development process, starting with its earliest stages.

Within the scope of development activities, the laboratory enables students to study the planning and implementation of human-computer technology and human-machine interactions and apply them as part of their final projects, as well as to make use of the theoretical principles studied in various courses.

The Center’s establishment is an important step in realizing the vision of establishing a multidisciplinary center for development, applied research and teaching in the fields of interactive computer technologies.
