Instrumentation and Methods
In YOUsability we develop and test computerized systems, using a variety of usability testing methods, and advanced technological tools. The YOUsability laboratory is an advanced environment, networked with cameras that capture the users’ actions. We use an eye tracker device and its software to record and analyze user actions while they interact with interfaces. The various equipment and systems are synchronized to provide an optimal combination of parameters that enable reliable user testing, in order to examine the systems’ efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, in the laboratory there is a meeting area dedicated for Focus Groups. Another area is designated for workstations, where students develop interactive systems prototypes.
