Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering
The program will train engineers from various fields with knowledge that enables the use of engineering principles for practical research and development of systems, and for basic rese4arch of physical phenomena. Graduates will be able to conduct applied multi-disciplinary R&D with the ability to apply systemic integration combining environmental and technological matters relating to environmental safety.
The uniqueness of the program is its practical multi-disciplinary R&D based training combining streaming and energy mechanics, solid substance mechanics, control and robotics.
The program is conducted in cooperation with the Negev and Soreq Nuclear research Centers.
The principal objectives of the curriculum:
- To award multi-disciplinary training for engineers and scientists, so that upon completion of studies they will have the tools, knowhow and experience required to quickly and successfully integrate into academic and industrial research and development groups.
- To train engineers from different fields with knowledge that enables the use of engineering principles for applied research and development of systems, and basic research of physical phenomena.
- Program graduates will be able to continue on to advanced (Ph.D.) studies in mechanical engineering, at all the universities in Israel, and become the spearhead of mechanical engineers on the Israeli economy.
For whom are second-degree mechanical engineering studies designed?
The intended target audience are first degree (B.Sc.) engineers in: mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, software engineering, materials engineering, industrial and management engineering, electrical and electronics engineering and medical engineering – from various industries and research institutions in Israel, particularly from the country’s southern region, such as: Israel Chemicals, Makhteshim-Agan, Teva, Kamada, Intel, the IDF, NRC, SNRC, etc.
Please note:
- The duration of studies is two years
- Upon completion of their studies, graduates will receive an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
- The program is open to applicants with an undergraduate degree in engineering or natural sciences. Each student will receive a tailored program that suits his or her undergraduate background, and will be required to complete supplementary courses as necessary
- Studies are conducted Be’er Sheva campus
- Awarding the degree is subject to H.E.C approval
