Prof. Dmitry Baimel

Dmitry Baimel is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Sami Shamoon College of Engineering (SCE). He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. His research interests include power systems, AI applications in modern electric power systems, power electronics, smart grids, energy, and related areas.

Prof. Baimel is the head of the "Electric Drives and Power Systems" research center. He mentors Postdoctoral, Ph.D., M.Sc., and B.Sc. students. The main focus of his research over the last years is on AI integration in electrical engineering and energy systems.
