Prof. Robert Levy

Professor Levy’s expertise lies in seismic and blast control and mitigation of structures and infrastructures using innovative technologies; risk assessment; cablenets and fabric structures and optimal design. He has held positions at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (10 years), the Technion (23 years) and Rutgers University, NJ (4years) and visiting positions in the US, Italy, Taiwan and Chile. He is a member of several international scientific societies, a licensed structural engineer in Israel, a member of and Israel’s representative to the European Association for Earthquake Engineering

Professor Levy has held many administrative positions and during the years 2013-2019 was the head of the structural engineering department at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev

Professor Levy has over 190 scientific publications and one book on geometrically nonlinear structures and was the supervisor of more than 30 graduate students
