SHIFT

The period of presentations by the Department of Visual Communication will reach its end on Thursday 16.7.2026 at 17:00, starting with a festive opening event—a pop-up exhibit, entitled “Shift,” to be held on the Be’er-Sheva campus.

The exhibit summarizes the graduates’ work the department—a field in constant flux: between screen and space, between technology and human experience, and between classic graphic design and new worlds with a visual story and up-to-date media.

This event is open to the public, people from Industry, the graduates and faculty members so they can get a close look at the work of the excellent SCE graduates in this department, to celebrate the conclusion of their studies, and                   to meet the generation of creators in the fields of Visual Communication.

During this period, there were a variety of presentations demonstrating the broad role of the designer in the present era—not merely as the creators of images, rather as those who develop systems, experiences and visual tools that react to social, cultural and technological changes. Their works deal with questions of identity, community, mental health, memory, personal security, digital culture, spatial movement, accessibility, communication, technology and the ability to design and influence the way in which we understand and meet the world.

From 12-16.7.2026, presentations are being held on the Be’er-Sheva campus on the 2nd and 5th floors of the Lugasy building and in the Gallery of the Katzir building; they are open to the public. Visitors are invited to come throughout these dates to watch the project presentations and to meet the students.
