Applied IEM Workshop
The Applied Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) Workshop 2026 invites submissions of original research, practical applications, and work-in-progress studies from academic researchers and industry professionals.
This workshop provides a collaborative platform for presenting applied research results, discussing emerging challenges, and fostering connections across the IEM community.
Date: September 2nd. 2026.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge.
Location: Shamoon College of Engineering (SCE), Beer Sheva.
Keynote Speaker: Prof. Dvir Shabtay, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
We are honored to welcome Prof. Dvir Shabtay as our keynote speaker.
Prof. Shabtay is a leading expert in scheduling, combinatorial optimization, and approximation algorithms, holding the Sir John and Lady Cohen Chair in Business and Industrial Management. He has published extensively in top-tier journals and serves on multiple editorial boards.

We welcome submissions on all applied aspects of Industrial Engineering and Management, including (but not limited to):

- Financial and scheduling applications
- Additional related topics in applied IEM
Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract (up to 2 pages) describing their research objectives, methodology, and preliminary or final results.
Abstract format:
- PDF file
- Up to 2 pages (including figures and tables)
- English language
- Standard academic style (any consistent format)
