Engineering Society 2018
The “Engineering Society” conference will take place on Monday, May 28th, 2018, at the Be’er Sheva campus of SCE Shamoon College of Engineering.
The conference will discuss the unique and seemingly contradictory relation between the engineering world and the social world. This conference will offer a tangible view of how these worlds correlate in a harmonious manner, and how engineering tools and developments can improve our lifestyles, and positively impact society at large.
The conference will begin with the opening of an exhibition of social-engineering projects developed by students. These projects demonstrate the special integration between the engineering tools acquired by the students and social needs. What stands out in these projects is their ability to create solutions for social challenges using technological and engineering know-how and tools.
During the conference, industrialists, entrepreneurs, and faculty members will share new technologies and social-engineering initiatives that serve as sources of inspiration.
Final date for registry: Friday, May 25th, 2018, at 10:00 (closed).
As part of the conference, a hackathon will be held at Ashdod campus on the topic of “Life Saving Engineering”. For more details, click here.
